Assessment and treatment for individuals ages 12+ for:

  • Bipolar I and II: irritability, high/low energy, disturbed sleep, racing thoughts, distractibility, mood swings

    Major Depressive Disorder: lack of interest, guilt, low energy, disturbed sleep, changes in appetite, hopelessness, sadness, crying spells

    Peripartum/Postpartum Depression: depression occurring during pregnancy or after childbirth, difficulty bonding with the baby

  • Generalized Anxiety: consistent, excessive worry that can lead to poor concentration, changes in appetite, irritability, muscle tension, trouble sleeping

    Social Anxiety: intense, constant fear of being watched and judged by others which can affect work performance, ability to make friends, and other daily activities

    Phobias: uncontrollable, irrational, continuing fear of a specific object, activity, or situation

    Panic Disorder: sudden episode of intense fear and anxiety which can cause physical symptoms

  • Flashbacks, nightmares, dissociation, severe anxiety, avoidance of specific situations, problems sleeping triggered by a terrifying/traumatic event

  • Uncontrollable, intrusive thoughts (“obsessions”) / repetitive behavior (“compulsions”) such as hand-washing, checking, counting, repeating, arranging that are distressing and interfere with daily living

  • Inattentive Type: difficulty concentrating, short attention span, forgetfulness, difficulty completing tasks, trouble organizing, listening difficulties

    Hyperactive Type: impulsivity, restlessness/fidgety, easily bored, excessive talking

    Combined Type: symptoms of both inattentiveness and hyperactivity

  • Lack of control over thoughts, urges, and impulses to use:

    Opioids

    Stimulants

    Alcohol

    Benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Valium

    Caffeine

    Nicotine/tobacco

    Sex/pornography

    Gambling

  • Anorexia Nervosa: distorted body image, fear of gaining weight, restricting food intake, low body weight

    Bulimia Nervosa: binge episodes, followed by methods to avoid weight gain such as misusing laxatives, diet pills, diuretics or enemas

    Binge Eating Disorder: recurrent episodes of consuming large amounts of food marked by lack of control and guilt

    Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder: lack of interest in food, avoidance of food due to texture or consistency, requiring food to be prepared a certain way, refusing to try new foods

    Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders

  • disordered thinking, hallucinations, or delusions that impair daily functioning
